Project Type: Hospitality
Location: Philadelphia, PA.
Programs Used: SketchUp
The PhillyPort Hotel, where urban vibes meet maritime charm at the intersection of Walnut Street and South 20th Street in downtown Philadelphia, PA. Nestled between the historic Schuylkill River and the bustling Delaware River, this lobby project embodies a unique fusion of industrial aesthetics and street-style design.
Picture an innovative twist with shipping containers strategically integrated into the space, serving as both functional elements and decorative accents. Inspired by the city’s rich maritime heritage, the lobby embraces a captivating port theme, seamlessly blending the past with the present.

F&B Area
34 people can be accommodated in the space: 10 bar seats and 24 booth seats.
To create some private space without making the area feel cramped, a scaffold full of plants will be placed between the booths and the elevator entrance.
We wished to “Export” our own Philadelphia to the entire world, much like the port imports and exports goods and materials. Using an actual shipping container, the room is stocked with goods created by Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based authors, craftspeople, furniture designers, and other artisans. Above, a second cargo container would be utilized for showcasing products.
